U.S. Consumer Price Index by Urban Consumers (CPI)

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) is a measure of the average change over time in the prices paid by urban consumers for a market basket of consumer goods and services.

The CPI has grown from 180 to 184 during 2003, representing total annual growth of 2.3%. The CPI increased by roughly 20.7% between 1995 and 2003.
