Steve Shankle manages the Technology Systems Analysis group at Battelle, directing teams that provide solutions to energy efficiency and sustainability challenges. Mr. Shankle's area of expertise is incorporating energy, environmental, and economic considerations into the decision process. Mr. Shankle has over 15 years of experience focused on energy efficiency, energy technologies in buildings, and on residential, industrial, and municipal water systems. Mr. Shankle holds a B.A. and an M.A. in Economics.
Mr. Shankle's international experience includes a major industrial water energy efficiency project for the Mexican petroleum industry; a comprehensive integrated assessment of the Mexico City water system; and teaming with the SEVEn Energy Efficiency Center to perform integrated energy efficiency assessments for two Czech cities, Plzen and Cesky-Krumlov. Mr. Shankle speaks strong Spanish.
